CD4 and stroke disorder: The comparison of the immunological values between stroke patients and healthy controls revealed statistically significant differences, i.e. stroke patients were more likely to express higher absolute counts of granulocytes (p = 0.007), DNAse-I (p < 0.001), LDG (p = 0.003) as well as increased CD4 counts (p = 0.005) and the CD4 related pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-17 (p < 0.001), INF-γ (p < 0.001) and IL-22 (p < 0.001) (Table 3) (Figs. 1, and 2).
