EGFR and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Of the non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations account for approximately 30% of cases in China [1], 12% in the USA [2], and 10% in France [3] and are most common among patients with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) [3, 4].
