Lu et al. reported that luteolin was attributable to the downregulation of c-Met, MMP9, and Ki-67 in GC cells while promoting the induction of apoptosis via activating apoptotic proteins (CAS3 and PARP1), thus suggesting that luteolin can target Akt/ERK signaling pathway for its anti-GC effect [97]. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and gastric cancer.
