The fibroblast growth factor receptor3 (FGFR3) mutation is one of the most commonly detected mutations in bladder cancer, occurring in approximately 12% of all cases and in 70% of low-grade NMIBC (Zuiverloon et al., 2010; Weinstein et al., 2014).
