In the present study, we analyzed 25,315 patients with DM who had started taking SGLT2 inhibitors and demonstrated that there was no significant difference in the risk of developing HF, MI, AP, stroke, and AF among patients taking empagliflozin, dapagliflozin, canagliflozin, and other SGLT2 inhibitors. This evidence concerns the gene SLC5A2 and diabetes mellitus.
