In the univariable analysis (Table 2), HDL-cholesterol (57 ± 18 mg/dL vs 51 ± 14 mg/dL, P = 0.001) and ApoB:ApoA1 ratio (0.69 ± 0.22 vs 0.62 ± 0.18, P = 0.001) were found to be significantly higher in patients with IBD compared with controls. Here, APOB is linked to inflammatory bowel disease.
