Several recent publications showed the role played by specific miRNA in controlling stemness in osteosarcoma, including miR29b and its target Spin1[82], miR34a[83] and the DNMT1/miR34a/Bcl2 axis[84,85], TNF-α-miR155 signaling[86], miR335 and its target POUF5[87], miR429 and its target Sox2[88], and the TGF-β/miR499a/SHKBP1 89 axis[89,90]. This evidence concerns the gene SOX2 and osteosarcoma.
