MKI67 and neoplasm: By examining the protein expression of KI67 (a cancer proliferation marker 22), p65 (a protein responsible for cancer migration 23) and its phosphorylated state (p-p65) that indicates its activity, FOXO1 (a marker showing cells anti-oxidant ability and being associated with cancer stemness 24), we found that silencing hsa_circRNA_0040462 could, in general, promote tumor progression given the enhanced FOXO1 and KI67 expression (p=6.17E-5 for FOXO1, p=3.9E-3 for KI67, Figure 6A).
