Interestingly, two studies reported that CAFs promote the upregulation of Notch3 signaling followed by the expansion of therapy resistant breast CSCs through either Jagged1-Notch3 interaction[227] or CAF-derived microvesicles[227,228], thus pinpointing that Notch signaling may be targeted to overcome stroma-mediated resistance in BC.
