In an orthotopic model of ovarian cancer, depletion of IL8, granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), CXCL chemokine growth regulated oncogenes (GROα/CXCL1 and GROβ/CXCL2) in primary tumor cells incompletely decreased NET formation and chemotaxis, thereby inhibiting subsequent omental metastasis (20). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL2 and ovarian carcinoma.
