Overexpression of TSP50 promotes cancer cell proliferation, colony formation and migration in vitro, while silencing of TSP50 inhibits tumorigenic capability, induces G0/G1-phase arrest, downregulates the expression levels of the cell cycle-relative markers CDK4, CDK6 and Cyclin D1, and upregulates the expression of the tumour suppressors p21 and p53 in lung cancer 95-D cells (55). Here, PRSS50 is linked to cancer.
