Cao et al. (2017) showed that functional polymorphism (TaqIA) in the dopamine receptor D2 (DRD2) gene (A2A2 genotype, i.e., no A1 allele) at age ~12 years predicted higher levels of depression at age 14 years in bullied adolescent boys, but not bullied girls. Here, DRD2 is linked to depressive symptom measurement.
