In HNSCC, miR-10 was identified in patients with oral squamous cell carcinoma, having the same target as in ESCC, TIAM1, but also HOXD10, RhoA/RhoC, and KLF4. miR-10 has also diagnostic utility as it achieved 81.2% sensitivity and 80% specificity in the diagnosis of ESCC and 94.4% sensitivity and 80% specificity for HNSCC detection (83, 84). The gene discussed is RHOC; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
