The cross-sectional area of mouse cardiomyocytes was determined by WGA staining, indicating that cardiomyocytes of WT and RIPK3–/– mice were significantly enlarged after TAC operation, and depletion of RIPK3 could significantly reduce the size of cardiomyocytes (Figures 4A,B). The gene discussed is RIPK3; the disease is persistent truncus arteriosus.
