Inactivation of TP53 (Tumor Protein p53) is the most common mutation in sporadic human cancers because the TP53 gene encodes a transcription factor that is an important barrier to carcinogenesis, which also suggests a strong correlation with p53 function during tumorigenesis and may be associated with the occurrence of the glioma (Kandoth et al., 2013). Here, TP53 is linked to central nervous system cancer.
