Figure 2 shows the statistically significant results of a multivariate analysis of patients and controls adjusted for age and sex. The analysis revealed that COVID-19 was an independent factor associated with higher VEGF and IL-10 levels (β = 0.13, p = 0.047, and β = 0.34, p < 0.001, respectively) and lower IL-1β, IL-8, and GM-CSF levels (β = −0.25, p < 0.001; β = −0.18, p = 0.004; and β = −0.82, p = 0.0, respectively).
