CRP and colorectal carcinoma: Various markers and combinations thereof, including cellular (whole white cell count, neutrophils, lymphocytes, platelets) and humoral (C-reactive protein [CRP], albumin) components, can be used to assess the degree of SIR, and all of the studies consistently suggest the potential of the SIR as a prognostic marker in CRC [48,82,83,84,85,86].
