The findings from our study prove that A. senticosus flavonoids can not only protect macrophages under oxidative stress by increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes in the cell and activating the Nrf2/Keap1/HO-1 signaling pathway but also inhibit colitis by improving antioxidant activity in mice and maintaining the normal physiological function of the intestinal tract. This evidence concerns the gene KEAP1 and colitis.
