IBD caused significant (p < 0.05, 0.001) (n = 6) increase in IL-1β levels to 301.30 ± 46.11 (IBD, no LYCO), and 140.78 ± 34.86 pg/gm of protein, on days 2 and 4 of IBD, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and inflammatory bowel disease.
