LYCO pre-treatment produced significant (p < 0.05, 0.01, n = 6) rise in SOD activity from 0.08 ± 0.01 to 0.15 ± 0.01, and from 0.14 ± 0.02 to 0.24 ± 0.02 U/mg on days 2 and 7 of IBD, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene SOD1 and inflammatory bowel disease.
