The anti-inflammatory effects of MedDi in patients with atopy/asthma have mainly been indicated by the clinical outcomes [132,265] but direct examination, with measurement of specific inflammatory markers has been extremely limited; Douros and colleagues reported an association between higher adherence to MedDi in children with asthma and lower levels of IL-4, IL-33 and IL-17 [266]. Here, IL33 is linked to asthma.
