The multivariable logistic regression model adjusted for several confounders, among which were age, BMI, serum resistin and UA concentration, salt taste preference, and SI, and HR values showed that the G allele of SNV (−420G/C) significantly increases the risk of hypertension (OR 1.89 (95% CI; 1.01–3.52); p = 0.04).
