Another study by Mohammad et al. [41] in vitro and in vivo preclinical models of pancreatic cancer showed that the treatment with the combination of TEPP-46 (an activator of PKM2) and FX-11 (an inhibitor of lactate dehydrogenase A or LDHA) resulted in increased pyrurate kinase (PK) and reduced LDHA enzyme activity in plasma and tumor tissues, and decreased PKM2 and LDHA expression in tumors and consequently decreased tumor volume and proliferation. The gene discussed is LDHA; the disease is pancreatic neoplasm.
