The co-upregulated genes included, but were not limited to, cytoskeleton-associated genes [actinin alpha 1 (Actn1), calponin 2 (Cnn2), PDZ and LIM domain 7 (Pdlim7) and tropomyosin 2 (Tpm2)], junction-related genes [claudin 11 (Cldn11) and junctophilin 2 (Jph2)], and a cancer-associated gene, the nuclear protein 1 transcriptional regulator (Nupr1) [58]. This evidence concerns the gene NUPR1 and cancer.
