The close association of TGFβ signaling with the phenotypic plasticity of cancer cells, particularly EMT induction, in skin, breast and lung cancers [8,54], and the variable responses of individual PANC-1 clones to TGFβ1 treatment prompted us to study in more detail the effect on M phenotype shifting in parental PANC-1 cultures. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and lung cancer.
