The criterion of Kroenke et al. for a greater than 0.75 specificity [41,42] is met for the PHDS in predicting respondent high-risk status for generalized anxiety, mental distress, and depression; the respective specificities of the PHDS cutoffs for GAD-7, K6, and PHQ-9 are 0.79, 0.82, and 0.90. This evidence concerns the gene GAD1 and depressive disorder.
