In people with obesity, there is an activation of the systemic inflammation unchained from the accumulation of macrophages in adipose tissue that at the same time stimulate the secretion of pro-inflammatory proteins, mainly TNF-α, IL-6 and C-reactive protein (CRP), leptin, adipocyte fatty acid-binding protein, and several novel adipokines, such as chemerin resistin, visfatin, and vaspin. Here, CRP is linked to obesity disorder.
