In contrast, the levels of G1P and G6P were already upregulated at this stage in Ndrg3 LKO livers relative to those in WT livers (Figure 2D,E), likely due to G6pt downregulation as shown in Figure 4C. Therefore, at 2 months of age, the malfunctioning of gluconeogenesis appears to make a significant contribution to the development of hypoglycemia in Ndrg3 LKO mice.
