Among the features used to train the model, we found NDUFB11, NDUFS5, NDUFS7, SDHA, SDHC, SDHD, COX7A2L and ATP5PF, which encode for mitochondrial complexes I, II, IV and V. Mitochondrial complexes physiologically produce reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, which in AD cannot be fully erased, leading to oxidative stress [36]. This evidence concerns the gene NDUFS7 and Alzheimer disease.
