In a study of 24 individuals with T2D who were administered dapagliflozin or placebo for 2 weeks and underwent an oral glucose tolerance test and an euglycemic insulin clamp before and after treatment, not only β-cell glucose sensitivity but also the insulin secretion/insulin resistance index were significantly improved in the dapagliflozin group compared with the placebo group [68]. Here, INS is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
