Several 68Ga-labeled radiopharmaceuticals based on exendin-4 (a glucagon-like protein-1 receptor agonist) have been developed, and it was shown that this type of tracers (e.g., [68Ga]-Ga-DOTA-exendin-4) is able to accurately localize small pancreatic tumors known to produce an excessive amount of insulin. This evidence concerns the gene INS and pancreatic neoplasm.
