In 2017, the activity of ROCK2 was studied in moderately severe plaque psoriasis patients using selective oral ROCK2 inhibitors; 71% of the patients achieved a reduction of 50% in the psoriasis area and severity index (PASI 50) at 12 weeks, peripheral blood IL-17 and IL-23 significantly decreased, and ROCK2 staining decreased with decreasing epidermal thickness [84]. The gene discussed is ROCK2; the disease is psoriasis.
