In addition to general transcription factors, Pol-III-mediated transcription is tightly controlled by oncogenic factors, tumour suppressors, and chromatin remodelling factors [26,29], and several signalling pathways, including TORC1, RAS/ERK, JNK, and PTEN/AKT, have been confirmed to regulate Pol-III-directed transcription and other biological activities [30,31,32,33,34,35].
