Very recently, a number of new target antigens have been identified in membranous nephropathy and these include, in addition to PLA2R, exostosin 1/2, neural epidermal growth-like 1 protein, semaphorin 3B, protocadherin 7, neural cell adhesion molecule 1, protocadherin FAT1, and thrombospondin type 1 domain containing 7A (THSD7A). Here, THSD7A is linked to membranous glomerulonephritis.
