Up-regulation of miR-125b is reported to to suppress proliferation of bladder urothelium by down-regulating E2F3 and inhibiting E2F3-Cyclin A2 signaling and transition through G1/S [30], inhibit proliferation of breast cancer cells by acting in concert with miR-125a and miR-205 to down-regulate the epidermal growth factor receptors erbB2 and erbB3 [31] and to suppress endometrial cancer invasion by down-regulating expression of erbB2 [32,33]. The gene discussed is E2F3; the disease is breast cancer.
