High levels of IL-2 (interleukin), IL-7, IL-10, G-CSF (granulocyte colony-stimulating factor), TNF (tumor necrosis factor), CXCL10 (CXC-chemokine ligand 10), MCP1 (monocyte chemoattractant protein-1), and MIP1α (macrophage inflammatory protein 1 alpha) in serum were observed in patients with severe COVID-19 (Figure 2) [3].
