Multivariate analysis showed that elevated serum CEA (p < 0.001), poor/undifferentiated differentiation (p = 0.024), lymph node dissection number fewer than 12 (p = 0.029), and lymph node metastasis (p = 0.001) were related to poorer LRRFS. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
