The maximum tumor diameter (odds ratio (OR) = 1.044, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.021–1.069, P < 0.001), AFP level (OR = 1.001, 95% CI:1.000–1.002, P = 0.007), tumor-adjacent tissue hardness (OR = 0.864, 95% CI: 0.784–0.952, P = 0.003), and SR (OR = 0.610, 95% CI: 0.389–0.957, P = 0.032) were significant preoperative risk factors associated with MVI in the univariate analysis.
