(2019) identified that inhibition of autophagy caused a decrease in HIF-1α and an attenuation in HIF-1α induced autophagy suppression under OGD/R conditions, indicating the importance of the interaction of autophagy and HIF-1α underlying curcumin-induced neuroprotection in brain ischemia.
