From our literature curation, we found the genes BAP1 (BRCA1 associated protein-1), NF2 (moesin-ezrin-radixin like (MERLIN) tumor suppressor), LATS2 (large tumor suppressor kinase 2), CDKN2A (cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor 2A), TP53 (tumor protein P53) and SETD2 (SET domain containing 2) to be among the most frequently mutated tumor suppressors in MPM together with frequently observed mutations of the TERT (telomerase reverse transcriptase) promoter region. The gene discussed is NF2; the disease is neoplasm.
