TP53 and neoplasm: Applying this platform to five tumor–normal pairs of lemur hepatocellular carcinoma, we found that hepatocellular carcinoma from the five lemurs studied shares several notable characteristics with human hepatocellular carcinoma, including mutations in the tumor suppressors ARID1A and TP53 and the oncogene CTNNB1; analysis of cancer driver genes mutated in these samples identified enrichment of genes involved with TP53 degradation and regulation.
