While bsAbs such as blinatumomab have clearly revolutionized the treatment of B-ALL (Topp et al. 2015), the effect of potent BCR::ABL1 inhibition, e.g., by PONA is equally impressive, which in combination with chemotherapy in the frontline setting improved the long-term overall survival up to 80% (Ravandi et al. 2010; Fielding et al. 2014; Chang et al. 2019), compared to 10% in the pre-TKI era (Kantarjian et al. 2000). This evidence concerns the gene ABL1 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
