CRP and gastric cancer: CAR, NLR, and PNI are well-known prognostic factors for gastric cancer; however, the AUC value was higher for the GNRI than CAR, NLR, and PNI in the present study, indicating that CRP, which is related to inflammation, and lymphocyte count, which is related to immunity, might have less utility in predicting the prognosis of elderly patients with gastric cancer compared to the GNRI, which includes strong nutritional components.
