The objectives were: (a) to determine the variation over the last 30 years in the prevalence of overweight and obesity in these patients, according to international childhood growth criteria [14]; and (b) to observe possible associations between nutritional status and sociodemographic factors such as age, sex, and obesogenic environment, as well as clinical factors including duration of diabetes, metabolic control, and insulin therapy.
