HLA-B and Scarring: HLA-B*13:01 has been recently reported to be associated with DRESS induced by sulfonamide, including dapsone (Wang et al., 2013; Zhang et al., 2013; Chen et al., 2018; Liu et al., 2019; Satapornpong et al., 2021), salazosulfapyridine (Yang et al., 2014), and co-trimoxazole (sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim) (Wang et al., 2021) in Chinese or Thai populations, while HLA-A*11:01 is found to be associated with sulfonamide-related SCAR in Japanese population (Nakamura et al., 2020).
