MYB and infection: Garg et al. (2019) reported the presence of some plant hormone genes in resistant chickpea genotypes against AB under controlled environments. Amorim et al. (2017) reported the role of three families of transcription factors, ERF, bZIP, and WRKY, and suggested that they are important players in response to biotic stresses such as insect attack and pathogen infection. Similarly, Garg et al. (2019) reported the presence of TFs like bHLH, WRKY, and MYB in resistant chickpea genotypes compared to genotypes susceptible to AB.
