Our finding demonstrate that patients with RF that survived infection demonstrated significantly higher IgM, IgG, IgG1 and neutralizing titers compared to patients with RF that succumb to infection, suggesting that the humoral response plays a critical role in these patients, and raise the possibility of using humoral response variables as prognostic markers for guiding the clinical management of unimmunized patients admitted to the hospital for SARS-CoV-2 infection. The gene discussed is CD40LG; the disease is infection.
