Here, we propose a double strategy aimed at reducing the vulnerability of AD patients against SARS-CoV-2infection by enhancing immune system: the first approach would be to measure salivary hLf levels and the second would be to restore antimicrobial defense including bLf supplementation, which would reduce SARS-CoV-2 actions based on the multifunctional properties of bLf (i.e., antiviral and anti-inflammatory activities). Here, HLF is linked to Alzheimer disease.
