Lastly, although lower levels of CHIC2, a cysteine-rich hydrophobic (CHIC) protein localised to vesicular structures and the plasma membrane, have a comparatively lower genetic causality on migraine (GCP = 0.37) and the mechanism underlying this causal relationship is unclear in the literature, our results indicate functional follow-up of CHIC2 in migraine is warranted. Here, CHIC2 is linked to migraine disorder.
