To determine the clinical relevance of the relationship between DX2 and KRAS, we analyzed their protein levels in various lung, colorectal, and pancreatic cancer cell lines expressing KRAS WT or oncogenic mutation4,5 (Supplementary Table 1) and observed that the two protein levels were positively correlated in cancer cells, while they were expressed at low levels in normal lung and colorectal cell lines (WI-26 and CCD18CO, respectively) (Fig. 1f).
