Blood chemistry data showed that the sarcopenia group had lower levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), albumin, total cholesterol, triglycerides, urea nitrogen, and prothrombin activity and significantly higher levels of bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and blood ammonia than the nonsarcopenia group (p < 0.05 for each). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and sarcopenia.
